Off-Site Engineering: Pre-Assembled Technical Rooms
How do we eliminate uncertainty in high-complexity installations?
In the premium building sector, the greatest risk is not technology, but improvisation on-site. At Q-Tech, we have replaced traditional assembly with an Off-Site Engineering process.
We replicate your machine room in our laboratory, assemble it under conditions of surgical precision, and deliver it to you ready to plug and play.
Our Advanced Pre-Assembly Specialties:
- Aerothermal and HVAC Rooms: Integration of high-efficiency systems (Viessmann) with perfect hydraulic balancing and PLC-labeled wiring.
- Pool Rooms with AI Control: Intelligent management of filtration and water chemistry, pre-configured for remote maintenance.
- Water Treatment and Pressurization: Booster sets and industrial filtration systems assembled on self-supporting skids.
- IT Infrastructure and Special Rooms: Control racks, home automation, and critical energy monitoring, tested before shipment.
Advanced Pre-Assembly
Your plant room arrives tested and configured, ready to connect
With Advanced Pre-Assembly, Q-Tech assembles, wires, configures and tests your pre-assembled plant room at its workshop in Málaga while the building work goes on. On site, only the final connection remains, from one working day depending on the type and size of the room, carried out by the site installer or by Q-Tech.
What is Advanced Pre-Assembly?
Advanced Pre-Assembly is the Q-Tech system for building plant rooms off site. An expert technician mounts the equipment on a frame or rack, makes the hydraulic and electrical connections, configures the controls and runs the safety and operating tests, with a pressure test where applicable. The room is delivered documented with photos and a report.
Traditional on-site work vs. a pre-assembled plant room
| Factor | On-site assembly | Q-Tech pre-assembled plant room |
|---|---|---|
| Where it is assembled | On site, dependent on other trades, access and supplies | At the Q-Tech workshop, in parallel with the building work |
| Testing | At start-up on site | Before leaving the workshop: safety, operation and, where applicable, pressure |
| Work on site | Full assembly | Final connection only, by the site installer or Q-Tech, from one working day depending on type and size |
| Finish | Depends on site conditions | Workshop finish, with test bench, tools and parts at hand |
| Documentation | Depends on the installer | Photos and completion report |
Systems we assemble and integrate

- Modbus and PLC systems
- UniFi, Synology and Fritz networks
- HVAC: air conditioning, air-to-water heat pumps and air treatment
- Pumps and booster pump sets with variable frequency drive
- Water treatment
- Pools and spas
How it works
- We agree the room specifications: you send the initial dimensions, the existing equipment and the diagram for the initial quote. Q-Tech reviews them, advises you on the most suitable type of installation and equipment, and estimates the equipment, the level of integration and, finally, the working days.
- Once the quote is approved, Q-Tech confirms the measurements, on-site or remotely, when only the connection points at the plant room are left on site. Outside Andalusia or on international projects, we work from drawings and dimensioned photos.
- Booking with advance payment and a confirmed date. All the equipment must be at the workshop before that date; Q-Tech supplies it or you provide it.
- The technicians assemble, configure and test the room at the workshop, with the agreed tests and configurations.
- The room is collected from the workshop by appointment or shipped on a pallet. The final connection is carried out by the existing site installer, the installer you appoint or Q-Tech, as an on-site working day. If you wish, Q-Tech carries out a pre-commissioning check, remotely or on-site, or the official commissioning with the manufacturer.
Other ways of working with Q-Tech
- Equipment installed by another company: the installer connects the hydraulic side and Q-Tech completes the electrical side, the controls and the internet connection. Q-Tech then configures and verifies the equipment, with the on-site hourly service or the on-site working day.
- Upgrade: Q-Tech integrates a heat pump or other equipment into an existing system.
In both cases, Q-Tech first carries out a verification visit with the on-site hourly Expert Technician service, even if the owner or the technical management state that the installation complies with regulations. During that visit, Q-Tech confirms that it can intervene and that any defects found can be resolved. It then quotes the work.
In all cases, if you wish, Q-Tech carries out a pre-commissioning check, remotely or on-site, or the official commissioning with the manufacturer.
Price
Pre-assembly is booked by working days with the Q-Tech Expert Technician workshop pre-assembly service: €995 per day including VAT on standard lead time and €1,975 urgent (24 to 72 hours). Equipment, transport and on-site connection are quoted separately.
Frequently asked questions
- How long does the on-site connection take? On-site work is reduced to the final connection: from one working day, depending on the type and size of the room and its components.
- Who connects the room on site? The existing site installer, the installer you appoint or Q-Tech. The connection is simple because the room arrives tested and configured.
- Does Q-Tech carry out the commissioning? If you wish, Q-Tech carries out a pre-commissioning check, remotely or on-site, so that the official service visit is not wasted on something left pending. It can also carry out the official commissioning with the manufacturer.
- How many workshop days does my room need? A pool or heat pump room with a control panel usually takes 1 to 2 days. Rooms with several integrated systems need more. Q-Tech estimates this before confirming the booking.
- Can I provide the equipment myself? Yes. For equipment provided by the customer, Q-Tech guarantees only the labour of its assembly.
- Does Q-Tech handle the certification? The technical report, the project, the certification (CIE, RITE, F-Gas) and the certificates are coordinated, if contracted, with a licensed partner installation company, quoted separately.
Q-Tech reviews each room before confirming the date. Check availability for your project.
A business model based on Excellence, not Travel
Our system does not seek cost savings through low quality, but through logistical efficiency. By performing assembly at our central facility, we eliminate the negative impact of daily travel (avoiding more than 200-300km of inefficient travel per operator).
That logistical budget is reinvested directly into improving the quality of the components and finishes of your technical room.
- Laboratory Assembly: Without interference from other trades and using precision tools.
- Comprehensive Testing: Leak tests and software pre-configuration before leaving our facility.
- Plug & Play Delivery: Your usual installer or our partner team handles the final connection in record time.
- Official Commissioning: We validate optimal performance and activate remote control.
