UniFi 5G and LTE
UniFi 5G and LTE modems and routers for a primary or backup connection to your network
A UniFi 5G modem is a Ubiquiti device that connects to a PoE port on your network and gives your UniFi console or Cloud Gateway Internet access over the mobile network, as the primary line or as a backup (failover) for fibre. Q-Tech brings together the three indoor and outdoor 5G modems and the industrial LTE router for DIN rail.
The 5G modems are adopted from UniFi Network and need a UniFi gateway; the industrial router works on its own. SIM cards and data plans are supplied by the customer.

How to choose your UniFi 5G or LTE device
- Backup or primary line. For a simple fibre backup in a home or a shop, the 5G Backup; if the mobile network will be the primary line or you need more than 220 Mbps, a 5G Max.
- Where the signal reaches. If 5G gets well into the building, the indoor 5G Max; if it only reaches outside, the 5G Max Outdoor on a pole or wall with directional antennas.
- With or without a UniFi gateway. The three modems need a console or Cloud Gateway from UniFi Gateways; for a control panel or a machine without a console, the Mobile Router Industrial or the 5G and LTE routers in Enterprise Networks.
Applications
- Shop or office with fibre: 5G Backup so that the card terminal and the cameras stay online if the line goes down.
- Home or warehouse without fibre: 5G Max Outdoor on the roof as the primary connection of the UniFi network.
- Treatment plant, pump or remote hut: Mobile Router Industrial in the control panel, with LTE and VPN for remote management.

Frequently asked questions
Do UniFi 5G modems work without a UniFi gateway?
No. They are adopted from a UniFi console or Cloud Gateway, which acts as the router; the Mobile Router Industrial does work on its own.
Do they include a SIM card?
No. Ubiquiti sells them unlocked; the customer arranges the SIM or eSIM and the data plan.
What real speed will I get?
It depends on coverage and on the operator's network at the mounting point; the figures in the table are the maximums published by Ubiquiti.
What is the delivery time?
The three modems are supplied to order; the Mobile Router Industrial is available from 5 November 2026. We confirm the lead time before preparing your order.
