How to choose your UniFi access point

    • By user density: halls and auditoriums, E7 Audience or E7; offices, U7 Pro or Pro Max; homes, U7 Pro or U7 Lite.
    • By mounting location: ceiling, wall (Pro Wall and In-Wall, common in hotels) or outdoor with IP67; for extreme cold or heat, U7 Industrial, rated from −40 to 70 °C.
    • By cabling: to make the most of the 10 GbE uplink on the XG, XGS and E7, connect them to a Pro XG or Enterprise Campus switch. See UniFi Switching.

    Applications

    • Home: one or two U7 units covering every floor and the garden.
    • Hotel and residence: a U7 In-Wall or Pro Wall in each room, with network ports for the TV.
    • Outdoor, warehouse and industry: U7 Outdoor or U7 Industrial, and the Device Bridge Switch to extend the network without trenching.

Yes. They are adopted and managed from a UniFi console, such as a Cloud Gateway or a Dream Machine.

    WiFi 7 or WiFi 6?

WiFi 7 adds more speed and the 6 GHz band with compatible devices; WiFi 6 is still a valid choice for networks with older devices.

    How are they powered?

Over PoE from a UniFi switch or an injector; each product page states the PoE level required.
