The Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump uses the heat in the outside air to heat water with minimal effort. This makes it suitable for single-family homes as well as small businesses.

The Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump is optionally available without spiral tube heat exchanger for monovalent use (model T2E). Alternatively, the hybrid version with integrated spiral tube heat exchanger is available (model T2H). The Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump is recommended.  for retrofitting existing systems. The intelligent control will then select the optimal mode of operation between the heat pump and the heat generator, taking into account energy prices and primary energy factors.

The Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump takes care of preheating the water and the existing heat generator is used for reheating if necessary. This means that maximum hot water comfort is always guaranteed.

Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump optionally available for indoor or outdoor air recirculation

In the indoor air recirculation version, the Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump uses the air in the room in which it is installed. Part of the heat is extracted from the extracted air and raised to a usable temperature level by the heat pump (up to 65 °C for improved drinking water hygiene). By using it as a dehumidifier/cooler, moisture is removed from the rooms and pollutants are removed. This protects the building structure and improves the air quality in the home.

In outdoor air mode, the device operates in a temperature range of -8 to +40 °C and can thus be operated also in more extreme climates.

Viessmann Vitocal 262-A heat pump with dry electric support resistance

The electric version (model T2E) is factory-equipped with a dry electric support heater. The hybrid version with heat exchanger (model T2H) can also be retrofitted with a support electric heater. The dry connection protects against calcification and does not require emptying.
