The hydraulic safety valve for 1 ½'' drain is especially suitable for installation in the drain outlet of an automatic selector valve of a pool sand filter.
Its use prevents water loss when the valve changes its working position and in the event of a power failure and the valve remains in a position in which the pool could be emptied.
- Two connection options: double smooth sleeve Ø50 and double threaded sleeve 1 ½".
- Working pressure range: 0.2 to 3 kg/cm2.
- Flow range: between 0.5 m3/h and 14 m3/h.
- Voltage: 24 Vac.
- Consumption: 0.125 A.
This is a hydraulically operated valve in which an elastic membrane closes the passage of water. The larger section of the upper chamber compared to the section of the fluid passage causes the valve to remain closed when there is fluid pressure upstream, since the 3-way solenoid communicates the pressure from the pump with the upper chamber of the valve. When the upper chamber drain is opened, either automatically with a signal from the selector valve or by means of the solenoid's manual selector, no fluid is allowed to enter it and therefore the fluid in the line overcomes the membrane, causing the valve to open.
