The Hybrid variant of the Viessmann Vitocal 262-A R290 heat pump (type T2H-R290) is designed for integration into oil, gas, biomass and district heating systems. It has an integrated heat exchanger and can replace an existing hot water tank so that the heating can be switched off in the warm season.

Instead of an electric accumulator, a the electric variant of the Viessmann Vitocal 262-A R290 heat pump (type T2E-R290). It can also be used in combination with a heat pump for heating and enables completely self-sufficient hot water preparation.

An intelligent control system selects the operating mode between heat pump and heat generator, taking into account energy prices and the performance values ​​of the heat pump. The Vitocal 262-A takes care of the preheating of the heat pump. water in the integrated 300-litre storage tank, while the existing heat generator takes care of reheating if necessary.
