The ESBE VMC300 series solar thermal kit offers a dual function for sanitary applications: it diverts incoming water if its temperature needs to be increased, while ensuring the safety function of the outgoing water to prevent scalding*.
What is it used for?
Solar heating and drinking water installations.
Characteristics:
- Designed for small solar heating systems (Kvs 1.5). For larger systems, please consult the price of the VMC500 Series.
- Operation:
- If the water from the solar collector is not hot, it is diverted to an additional thermal source, such as a gas boiler, and once heated it is mixed until it reaches a temperature suitable for DHW applications.
- If the water from the solar collector is already hot, it is mixed directly for use as domestic hot water.
- Max. flow rate from collector: 0.7 l/x (42 l/min).
- Water temperature coming from the collector: 95°C.
- Application example: used in a heat pump to divert hot water between the radiator circuit and the production of drinking water. It is the heat pump's control electronics that determine when the switch between circuit A and circuit B takes place.
