Shelly control displays: Wall Display X1i, X2i and XL to run your home automation from the wall
A wall control display replaces a switch with a touchscreen that switches lights, regulates heating, runs scenes and shows the home's consumption without taking out your phone. Q-Tech brings together here Shelly's three Wall Displays, at 4", 6.95" and 10.1", all with a relay for the light and a gateway for Shelly BLU Bluetooth sensors. Part of Shelly Control.

How to choose
- By room: the X1i takes the space of a switch and suits bedrooms and hallways; the X2i shows more information at once in living rooms and kitchens; the XL is the central panel for the whole home.
- By use: for lights and scenes at hand, the X1i; to see climate, consumption and scenes on a single screen, the X2i; to centralise the home with physical buttons, internet radio and stereo sound, the XL.
- None of them measures temperature or humidity. To use one as a thermostat, add a Shelly BLU H&T Display ZB sensor.
Applications
- Replacing the living room switch with a display that switches lights and runs scenes such as “Dinner” or “Good night”.
- Regulating each room with Shelly BLU TRV heads and a temperature sensor.
- Seeing on the wall the consumption of Shelly PM devices, such as the DIN rail relays.
- Playing music, alerts and alarms through a Bluetooth or Sonos speaker.

Frequently asked questions
Do they act as a gateway for BLU sensors?
Yes. According to Shelly, all Wall Displays work as a Bluetooth gateway, so Shelly BLU heads and sensors within range do not need the BLU Gateway Gen3.
Do they need a neutral wire?
Yes. They connect to live and neutral in a wall box. They can also be powered via USB-C.
Do they measure temperature?
No. For climate they need a paired sensor, such as the BLU H&T Display ZB.
Do they work with Home Assistant?
Yes, all three, as well as with MQTT and the Shelly Smart Control app.
Are they Matter compatible?
Not yet. Shelly has announced it for a future firmware version; we will say so when it is available.
