Vitosol 200-FM solar collector: High-performance flat-panel collector with innovative ThermProtect selective treatment.
The powerful Vitosol 200-FM flat-plate collectors are the ideal complement to all domestic hot water, heating, and swimming pool installations. With their 2.3 m2 absorption area, these flat-plate collectors adapt to the energy demand of each individual case. They can provide up to 75% of the annual energy needed for domestic hot water and offer support for heating, swimming pools, and even industrial processes.
In combination with a condensing gas boiler, free solar energy can reduce the annual energy requirements for heating and hot water by more than a third.
Special features of the Vitosol 200-FM:
ThermProtect prevents overheating
The new, exclusive and innovative selective treatment protects the collectors from overheating thanks to energy-efficient materials. Viessmann's patented ThermProtect technology self-limits solar energy capture when a certain temperature is reached. Above approximately 75°C, the crystal structure changes, heat emissivity in the absorber increases significantly, and collector power is reduced. This significantly lowers the collector's maximum temperature, preventing steam formation in the solar circuit and overheating.
ThermProtect gives Vitosol 200-FM collectors higher performance than conventional flat-plate collectors, as their power does not stagnate and they can supply heat again at any time.
Durable, watertight and well insulated
The one-piece molded aluminum frame and the continuous joint that connects it to the special solar glass provide permanent airtightness and high stability to the collector. The return wall is impact- and corrosion-resistant. Highly effective thermal insulation reduces transition periods and heat loss in winter.
The Vitosol 200-FM is particularly easy to install
The integrated supply and return piping allows for secure installation even in collector batteries of up to 12 units in parallel, connected in supply and return on opposite sides or to the collectors on the same side, using flexible stainless steel connecting pipes.
Flat-panel collectors are universally applicable for installation on roofs or additional structures, for example, on flat roofs and even on facades. They are available in vertical or horizontal format. The Viessmann mounting system is easy to assemble with statically tested and corrosion-resistant stainless steel and aluminum components.
Attractive on any deck
Vitosol 200-FM is the right choice when the collector is to be supplied with a custom RAL-colored frame. It comes standard in dark blue lacquer, suitable for virtually any roof.
