The powerful Vitosol 200-FM flat plate collectors are the ideal complement to all domestic hot water, heating, and pool systems. With their 2.3 m² absorption surface, these flat plate collectors adapt to the specific energy demands of each application. They can supply up to 75% of the annual energy required for domestic hot water and provide support for heating, pools, or even industrial processes.
In combination with a condensing gas boiler, free solar energy allows you to reduce the annual energy needed for heating and hot water by more than a third.
Special features of the Vitosol 200-FM:
ThermProtect prevents overheating
The new, exclusive, and innovative selective treatment protects the collectors against overheating thanks to energy-efficient materials. The ThermProtect technology, patented by Viessmann, automatically limits solar energy capture once a certain temperature is reached. Above approximately 75°C, the crystalline structure changes, significantly increasing the heat emissivity of the absorber and reducing the collector's output. This results in a significantly lower maximum collector temperature, preventing steam formation in the solar circuit and overheating.
ThermProtect gives Vitosol 200-FM collectors higher performance than conventional flat plate collectors, as their power output does not stagnate and they can resume supplying heat at any time.
Durable, watertight and well insulated
The one-piece molded aluminum frame and the continuous gasket that joins it to the special solar glass provide permanent airtightness and high stability to the collector. The return wall is impact and corrosion resistant. Highly effective thermal insulation reduces transition times and heat loss in winter.
The Vitosol 200-FM is especially easy to install
The integrated supply and return piping allows for safe assembly even in collector banks of up to 12 units in parallel, connected in supply and return on opposite sides or to the collectors on the same side, using flexible stainless steel joining tubes.
Flat plate collectors are universally applicable for mounting on roofs or additional structures, such as flat roofs and even facades. They are available in vertical or horizontal configurations. The Viessmann mounting system is easy to install and features statically tested, corrosion-resistant stainless steel and aluminum components.

Vitosol 200-FM is the right choice when the collector is to be supplied with a custom RAL color frame. It comes standard lacquered in dark blue, suitable for virtually any roof.
