Manufactured in Switzerland since 1980, the Besgo 5-way valve is a pneumatic valve that automates backwashing of sand, glass, or AFM® filters efficiently, easily, and safely. Thanks to a faster backwashing speed than traditional 6-way valves, the Besgo 5-way valve guarantees superior results and allows you to get the most out of your pool by reducing maintenance time.

Operation of Besgo 5-way valves:
The Besgo 5-way valve operates automatically with either water or pressurized air. A connection to the water mains or a small air compressor will provide the 3.5 bar required for its operation.
A simple 230V electrical controller/timer is all that's needed to program and activate the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve receives power and opens; the incoming pressure compresses the spring inside the Besgo valve, initiating the backwashing process. This process continues for as long as desired, provided the solenoid valve receives power. In the event of a power failure, the Besgo valve automatically returns to its "Filtration" position, preventing the pool from draining unintentionally.
