Phyn was developed in the laboratories of the University of Washington and Belkin, and in collaboration with Uponor, a leading manufacturer of plumbing solutions with extensive experience in residential buildings.
It is a smart leak detection monitor with automatic shut-off that protects your home from leaks, diagnoses problems in the pipes and gives you detailed, real-time information about water consumption in your home.
It is managed through an app that allows you to remotely control your PHYN.
Phyn Plus establishes a correspondence between the water pressure exerted at each of the outlets in your house, comparing them with those stored in its memory, which contains more than 40,000,000 showers, toilet flushes, pool fillings, and washing machine loads.
Once installed, Phyn immediately learns from the different water sources in your home, creates a unique profile for each, and provides you with information on how much water is used. You'll also gain insight into typical usage patterns in your household.
Once Phyn has learned your home's plumbing, it will enable the "Automatic Shutdown" function and shut off the water supply in case of even the smallest leak.
The stainless steel sensor measures temperature and pressure changes up to 240 times per second. It also features an ultrasonic flow sensor that detects changes of 0.45 liters per minute with no moving parts.
