The ESBE VMC300 series solar thermal kit offers a dual function for sanitary applications: it diverts incoming water if its temperature needs to be raised, while also ensuring the safety function of the outgoing water to prevent scalding*.
What is it used for?
Solar heating and drinking water installations.
Characteristics:
- Designed for small solar heating systems (Kvs 1.5). For larger systems, please consult the VMC500 Series price.
- Operation:
- If the water from the solar collector is not hot, it is diverted to an additional heat source, such as a gas boiler, and once heated, it is mixed until it reaches a temperature suitable for DHW applications.
- If the water from the solar collector is already hot, it is mixed directly for use as domestic hot water.
- Max. flow rate from collector: 0.7 l/x (42 l/min).
- Water temperature from the collector: 95°C.
- Application example: Used in a heat pump to divert hot water between the radiator circuit and the potable water supply. The heat pump's control electronics determine when the water is switched between circuit A and circuit B.
