Q-Tech enhances GF Hycleen connectivity

Q-Tech potencia la conectividad de GF Hycleen

Connectivity Boost, connection everywhere and anywhere.

Q-Tech aims to improve and facilitate the implementation of intelligent control systems through simple, low-cost connectivity. It leverages technological advances and remote monitoring to respond to real-time alerts, monitor water status and temperatures/flows, and anticipate cost overruns/operational issues, among other things.

Q-Tech chose 2 connectivity options, 4G gateway or RedCap 5G router, optional with RS485 interface - BACNet support, to equip the Hycleen AS Master unit with robust network connectivity support and RMS-enabled remote management capabilities.

Topology:

The Hycleen automation system continuously manages and maintains the hydraulic balancing process in a highly effective and efficient manner. This comprehensive solution combines sensors and digitalized valves connected to a central master unit. The control device automatically monitors and optimizes hydraulic balancing on a daily basis. This innovative system addresses critical facility risk factors and offers centrally controlled, cloud-based, and remote maintenance capabilities.

As infrastructure ages, the industry strives to extend the lifespan of equipment while ensuring compatibility with new technologies required for continuous communication between plants and monitoring centers.

That's right, another often overlooked challenge is reliable remote access and control of these plants. While technological advances allow technical rooms to operate efficiently, none of them really make a difference if systems can't be accessed and controlled remotely.

Remote access enables quick, informed decisions and immediate changes in response to any issues, ensuring continuous and efficient operations even when on-site access is unavailable.

With numerous challenges identified, we strived to upgrade and enhance one of GF's smartest hot water automation systems, Hycleen, with IoT solutions supported by reliable connectivity from routers or IoT gateways.
